Role Overview As a Business HR Consultant, you will be responsible for human resources administration for the Corporate Functions. You will be involved in efforts across multiple HR functional areas including: employee relations, performance management, regional communications, and culture building. You will also interpret HR policies, programs, and procedures and act as a liaison to the global HR departments: HCS, Communications, and Recruiting. Key Responsibilities Day-to-day you will: -Collaborate with HR leadership to plan, develop, organize, implement, and evaluate the human resources function and performance within the global Corporate Functions. -Prepare, coordinate, and support practice managers/business managers on disciplinary actions, terminations, and reductions in force. Partnering with country and regional HR colleagues, as appropriate. -Prepare, coordinate, and implement Avanade's annual appraisal process. Ensure all employees receive feedback and ensure all appraisals are completed and agreed on by leadership team before bonus is paid. -Prepare, coordinate, and support Managers on disciplinary actions, terminations, and reductions in force. -Participate and the onboarding and employee engagement processes for the Corporate Functions. -Participate in the development of the plans and programs of the global Corporate Functions as a strategic partner, but particularly from the perspective of the impact on people. -Translate the strategic and tactical business plans into HR strategic and operational plans. -Establish credibility throughout the organization with management and the employees in order to be an effective listener and problem solver of people issues. Partner with employees at all career levels. -Provide technical advice and knowledge to others within the human resources discipline. -Continue improving the programs, policies, practices and processes associated with meeting the strategic and operational people issues of the organization. -Manage and update HR Databases/systems and enable maximum benefit to be derived from the systems. -Participate in HR Task Forces as assigned. -Deliver to HR Administration, Business Partners, and employee relations focus areas. -Review, validate, create, and implement HR Programs and contribute to Performance Management focus areas. Qualifications -About 2-6 years of professional experience in a Human Resources role. -Generalist background in compensation/benefits, HR administration, retention, recruitment and performance management. -Demonstrated success in delivering and executing impactful and efficient HR programs -Knowledge of applicable regional employment laws; global employment law knowledge preferred -SPHR /PHR certification preferred Behavioral Competencies Required: -Excellent written and verbal communication skills -Ability to work with global employees at all career levels within the organization -Ability to take initiative with little or no supervision -Maintains a positive outlook -Works constructively under pressure -Responds resourcefully when challenges arise -Accepts responsibility for actions -Adaptability for learning and change -Effective presentations -Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships -Sound judgment & decision making -Ability to exceed customer expectations -Solid organization & time management skills - Attention to detail and an ability to produce a quality work product. Successful in getting into the detail. Preferred Education Background: You likely possess a Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or have an equivalent combination of education and experience; Master's degree preferred.
