Our client is a leading business in the vending industry, and they are seeking a self-motivated and experienced Accounts & Admin Assistant to join their new office in Edinburgh.

Then it could be you that we are looking for! As an Accounts & Admin Assistant within our small business, you have a very important function and you are a crucial part of our success.

Job Role:

The Accounts & Admin Assistant will be responsible for taking full responsibility of the UK accounts, and will have the opportunity to build up new procedures. You have overall responsibility for our finances (including salary management of wages) and your duties will include everything from invoicing, customer and supplier accounts and current accounting to monthly and long-term accounts, including annual accounts. You will report VAT and tax returns and will be responsible for financial reporting to management and are the natural contact with the auditor.

You will be the first point of contact in many instances with both our customers and our suppliers, so you will need to have a personable and friendly manner at all times, and enjoy helping to provide the best customer service possible.

Person Specification:

We are looking for an educated Accounts & Admin Assistant with a focus on accounting or equivalent. You will have 1-2 years of experience working widely in accounting (including salaries) in a small or medium-sized business and thriving in a business-friendly role with the ability to influence. You have good knowledge of Excel and you have previously worked in a business system. You will be working in an international environment, and so you will need good social skills and that you are able to work productively with people from all countries.

As a person, you will need to be self-sufficient, careful and proactive. You will need the ability to prioritize and organize your work and you are in a role in solving problems and developing routines. Since the service is business-friendly and involves many contacts, internally as externally, it is important that you are a down-to-earth, social and educational person who appreciates the possibility of many contact areas/ points.
